Noirish 1
Stage one of a semi-themed peice. I realize that I don't do enough 'scenes' as opposed to 'poses', and the only way to correct that is to directly work at it. So, with Halloween coming up, I figured you can't go wrong with zombies.
I've also included my "hand-zapper" thing, for some unknown reason.

Noir Sketch 1
I'm trying a bit of an odd noir scene here. I'm not really liking the guy in the background (hence the cropped version) but I thought I should push myself into doing more of a layout with a background and other characters (as opposed to just poses).
Yeah, the guy is shooting from his hands, no guns. Thought it was neat.

Siva - stage 5
Here's a first 'draft' of the finished black & white. The next step is composing the surrounding image. I'm not totally satisfied with the right foot somehow. To view a version without the sketch layers, head over to my Flickr photostream.
In terms of changes, note the following: (1) reworked upper-left-forearm, (2) shifted entire upper-right-arm upwards and rebuilt shoulder, (3) rebuilt lower-right-arm's shoulder to try and show a full process instead of just 'plugging' it in, (4) fixed the left calf to properly align the muscles with the center line, (5) assorted other fixes.

Siva - stage 4 (ink only)
So more ink-work (obviously this is all digital, so 'ink' here just refers to the black outlining). Just to show how it looks 'clean', I've hidden the sketch layers.

New work: redid the upper right shoulder (I'm not positive on it yet), resised the lower left hand, and did inking on both right arms.

First sketch for a siva-like character. I like the energy in its contortion, though I'm not convinced yet about his left leg/foot's position.

Photobucking is screwing me...they've altered their rules so now (a) the higher resolution image hosting costs money, and (b) even that wont house my full resolution images. Very irritating. Plus, blogspot doesn't seem to want to do so either.

Two part update
Same core drawing, but two updates. First, just the new inking part. Then, one possible shading direction. Note that not yet drawn is the inking for the stylized flames that will be surrounding his hands.
